Cyclone Yasi

The destruction brought by Cyclone Yasi in Far North Queensland has distressed all of us at Komatsu Forklift.  At this time our thoughts are with those that have lost so much.

Along with many other businesses, the Komatsu Forklift Australia Cairns and Townsville branches have been affected by the Cyclone. Our Townsville premises in Webb Drive, Bohle have sustained damage but appears it is not structural. Our Cairns premises which we share with Komatsu Australia in Hargreaves St Edmonton have also been damaged and are currently without power.

It is a great relief to report that Komatsu Forklift Australia staff in FNQ have reported that they and their families are safe and well.

Komatsu Forklift intends to be able to continue to provide support to our forklift service customers through our field service technicians operating from our mobile service vans shortly.  With our branches in Townsville and Cairns are damaged we will be working hard to get these operations running shortly.

In Rockhampton our Komatsu Forklift branch continue to operate at full strength.

If you require service from Komatsu please continue to use the usual phone numbers to contact us and we will do our best to provide the best response possible to assist you.  Unfortunately in some places there may be some delay.. As soon as it is safe to do so, Komatsu will recommence service in every area.

We advise forklift users should not to attempt to start any forklift that has been affected by water.  Please call Komatsu Forklift to arrange for our service technician to assess the forklift so that it does not sustain serious damage.
