After more than 40 years in Victoria and 10 years in Cherry Lane Komatsu Forklift Australia have moved their Victorian operational head quarters to 1/110 Fitzgerald Rd Laverton North.

Today’s opening event saw V8 Supercar legend Craig Lowndes help open the new branch.  Craig’s interesting address to Komatsu’s visitors was a huge hit.  Komatsu’s association with Craig Lowndes and Team Vodafone has been a real winner with the team and Jamie Whincup bring home a huge haul of silverware in 2011.

Team Vodafone also supplied their new 2012 V8 Supercar for the Melbourne Branch opening event.  A real coup as this is the first time the new 2012 car has been seen in Victoria.

“As our business has continued to evolve and grow we find Komatsu now supply and service a more diverse customer base than ever across Victoria and we needed new facilities that better suit our current business” said Victorian Branch Manager for Komatsu Forklift, Matt Backhouse.

Komatsu Forklifts have been in Australia since 1964 their products and services have come a long way since then.  With over 20,000 Komatsu forklifts installed in Australia and a industry leading product range from 1.8t through to 25t forklifts Komatsu has gone from strength to strength throughout Australia and around the world.

“We are very excited to open the new Komatsu Forklift facilities in Laverton North to service our Victorian customer better than ever”  said Tetsuya (Ted) Ishikawa, Managing Director, Komatsu Forklift Australia.  “Along with Cairns and Townsville this new branch makes three new and better branches for our company in less than a year” said Mr Ishikawa.

Komatsu forklift has 12 factory owned branches and a network of dealers across Australia to provide access to the sales, rental and maintenance of its complete product range.
