2020 Forklift Safety Week Goes Online

The Australian Forklift and Industrial Trucks Association has been presenting Forklift Safety Week since 2011.In light of the COVID-19 restrictions this initiative has been moved online.

These seminars are aimed at safety managers, operations managers, team leaders and anyone responsible for the safe operation of forklift and industrial trucks in Australia.

Komatsu Ltd. (President and CEO: Hiroyuki Ogawa) will provide support for recovery in the amount equivalent to JPY10 million. 

Komatsu Ltd has been selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) again this year.

Komatsu Forklift Australia will partner with Triple Eight Race Engineering for the twelfth consecutive year in 2019.

Safely Change An Oversize Earthmoving Tyre

How do you pick up a 10 tonne tyre? With the Komatsu FD250Z-6. It has a capacity of 9300Kg at a 2800mm reach and load centres range from 600mm to 2800mm to handle tyres on the largest of trucks, especially in the mining industry.

Komatsu Limited Purchases Red

Sumitomo Corporation is pleased to announce that its long term partner Komatsu Limited has purchased 100% of Red Australia Equipment Pty Ltd shares through its fully owned subsidiary - Komatsu Australia Holdings Pty Ltd. The acquisition took effect March 31 2009. 

Komatsu Forklift Australia’s 11 branches are strategically positioned throughout Australia providing the market with a complete sales, hire, service and parts package.

Customers can be confident that their equipment and its maintenance are provided by the manufacture, with various solutions and recommendations provided based on Komatsu’s experience and knowledge.

Looking back on the past decade, I cannot help but feel overwhelmed with feelings of appreciation to all the people who have supported Komatsu Forklift and helped us to establish the new company under Komatsu.  This party and event is no more than a small token of appreciation from us to all of you. 

I am extremely pleased to be here today for the officially launch of Komatsu Forklift Australia Pty (Proprietary) Ltd., supported by many of our customers , distinguished guests, and our staff.

First, let me briefly touch upon the overall relations between Japan and Australia, as well as the significance of Komatsu Forklift Australia. 

Japan and Australia have built strong ties and bonds of mutual trust over many years through business partnerships. In addition to these trade ties, our relationship has developed into a comprehensive partnership encompassing political, social and cultural aspects. 

The gala event was hosted with a touch of glamour by sports presenter Ali Mutch Thursday evening at the iconic Luna Park Sydney. Komatsu was honored to have the company of distinguished guests Mr Isoda, President and CEO of Komatsu Utility Japan, Mr Hobo and Mr Nakayama the Consulate General of Japan and Consul of Japan respectively . Many of Komatsu’s National and local customers and a wide representation of industry bodies were in attendance,   in anticipation to learn about the new Komatsu identity and Komatsu’s commitment to the Australian market.
